Join the CIA, but with dentures
Team Empreintes, the French indie studio, announced yesterday the release of a demo for The Granny Detective Society. This cosy, funny, and delightfully quirky detective game, where you play as Madeleine, a retired little mouse, unveiled their demo release with a new trailer shown during Thinky Direct.
Inspired by Return of the Obra Dinn, Duck Detective, and The Case of the Golden Idol, The Granny Detective Society invites you to get your camera out. Sitting at your window, watch the street outside and pin your neighbours’ secrets on the wall… until you are contacted by a mysterious sisterhood of spy grandmothers. They’re in dire need of help, caught in a web of conspiracy from another era that will lead them to question everything they thought they were secretly controlling behind the scenes.

Key Features of The Granny Detective Society
- Observation & Deduction: Watch the street at your leisure, take photos of people passing by, track suspicious behavior, and gather clues to guess who is who, what their job is, and how they’re connected to other neighbors. But most importantly… figure out what they’re trying to hide behind the curtained windows of their apartments.
- Multiple Perspectives: Unlock several Grannytectives, each with their own unique ability to observe the street from a whole new angle. Each investigation includes a different type of gameplay, challenging you to come up with new ways to solve the case at every turn.
- Mini Puzzle Games: Take a break between investigations with crossword puzzles, word searches, and spot the difference games… which also hide essential clues.
The Granny Detective’s demo is now available on Steam.

Other Puzzle Game News: Hidden object puzzle game, Zwamman, launches July 28th, demo available now.
