The Mirthwood update introduces life at sea and a new way to play
Announced during the Shacknews E4 Indie Showcase, a new Mirthwood update is set to make waves! Arriving later this year, you can set sail in the Seafarers Update and play alongside your fellow adventurers with online cooperative multiplayer.
This expansion to the immersive medieval fantasy RPG adds new story elements, new characters, challenging quests, update-specific gameplay mechanics, a slew of new cosmetics, and so much more. The Mirthwood Seafarers Update goes live alongside online multiplayer, where you and a friend can batten down the hatches together from anywhere later this year!
What to Expect in the Mirthwood Seafarers Update
- Brave the Sea: Engage in a variety of sailing activities.
- Build Up Your Ship: Make your ship feel like home with light customization and upgrades.
- Start Your Journey: Explore a new harbor cove/hub area from which you launch your voyages.
- Scallywags Unite: Recruit rag-tag crew members to join your ship.
- Family First: Sail to and explore new islands as you uncover the fate of your family.
- Grimrock Awakens: Engage new enemies, discover new lore, and enjoy additional light story elements.
- Online Multiplayer: Create a new character or bring an existing one to a friend’s world.
