The Wait is Over: Broken Arrow’s First DLC is Here and It’s Free!

TheĀ Baltic BattalionĀ is a new army specialization that can be combined with any existing U.S. specialization to create the game’s first coalition battlegroup, increasing tactical options by representing the combined forces of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.

With very limited air power, the Baltic States compensate by fielding a strong mix of motorized and mechanized troops equipped with European-made vehicles and weapons. TheĀ Baltic BattalionĀ brings cutting-edge European weaponry, sophisticated infantry formations, and next-generation vehicles built for layered defense, mobility, and quick reaction battles. This provides a wide variety of tactical options.Ā

Designed for both newcomers to the genre and RTS veterans alike, Broken Arrow features large-scale, real-time modern warfare tactics in both a single-player campaign and intense 5v5 multiplayer PvP battles, all set in the Baltic region. With a unique army-building system, deep unit customization tools available to players from launch, and over 350 realistic military units, the possibilities are endless and replayability is guaranteed.Ā It sold nearly 700,000 copies in less than 6 months.

Developer Steel Balalaika and publisher Slitherine have been working passionately on the game since its release, with community feedback playing a crucial role in shaping a dynamic experience and improving the overall gameplay. The new DLC adds 5 more battlegroup combinations for multiplayer action and arrives after numerous updates that have significantly enhanced the game. It’s a great time to revisit Broken Arrow and share with your audience the improvements made so far. Below you can find the roadmap for the coming months, which includes two new DLCs and several additional features.

To celebrate the release of the first DLC, the base game will be discounted at 15% on Steam.Ā Ā

Infantry Specialisation System

Baltic BattalionĀ offers a broad selection of infantry. Each infantry role in this specialization provides a selection of units from the three Baltic countries, each with unique battle styles, weaponry, and strengths. This allows players to strategically mix Latvian adaptability, Lithuanian firepower, and Estonian technology in their battalions to suit their preferred strategy.

Vehicles & Aircraft

The specialization broadens the motor pool withĀ 25 vehicles and planes, featuring 19 original additions and 6 US made equipment operated by the Baltic States with new unique customization. This varied array is built for mobility, combined-arms operations, and layered defense, spanning light transports, reconnaissance vehicles, tanks, Infantry Fighting Vehicles (IFVs), artillery, and multirole aircraft.

The Strategic Backdrop: War in the Baltic

The geography of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, bordered by mainland Russia, Belarus, and the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad, forms the high-stakes backdrop of theĀ Broken ArrowĀ campaign, ā€œWar in the Baltic.ā€ Connected to NATO allies only through the narrow corridor with Poland known as the Suwałki Gap, this critical strategic position is where the new specialization will be forged in conflict.

TheĀ Baltic Battalion DLCĀ is available nowĀ on Steam for free.

Prepare to redefine your strategic approach to the theatre of war.
