Arriving on PC via Steam in Q4 2026, Nintendo Switch 2 and PS5 in 2027
Warota: I Live Next to The Demon King’s Castle LOL, a village-building Action RPG from developer Team EARTH WARS and publisher One or Eight INC., rises from the rubble on PC via Steam in Q4 2026, before arriving on Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5 in 2027, as revealed during today’s INDIE Live Expo.
Demons have ravaged the realm of Luna, and a Bounder who possesses the rare power of creation has been chosen to rebuild the once-flourishing society. Harness the Bounder’s inventive abilities to construct a new world, and fight back against Demon Kings and their mischievous monsters threatening to tear it down again.

Reconstructing society means wearing many hats (literally!). Wear and share over 20 different job hats with the Bounder and their companions, assigning jobs from production roles like farmer and lumberjack to combat roles like warrior and mage.
Create intricate towns with homes, roads, fences, and add a touch of personality with furniture and decorations. Grow crops and cook delicious meals with fellow townspeople. Form a fully-functioning, autonomous economy through villager role assignment and specialized buildings. Build up the village’s strength and explore uncharted territories for new resources, treasures, and adventure!

Listen for music in the distance… it just might be the Demon Kings riling up their rowdy minions with a live musical performance. Prepare to defend the Bounder’s ever-expanding domain from excited enemies: pray to goddess statues that grant stackable, stat-boosting blessings, and head into battle anointed with almighty powers alongside your villagers outfitted with combat hats.
“The word ‘Warota’ is slang for laughter. We’ve always wanted to create a lighthearted take on rebuilding a broken world from the ground up,” said Kuroiwa, Director at Team EARTH WARS. “True to its title, this is a playful, high-spirited game. It features combat, companions, farming, meals, live performances, toilets… and yes, even poop! We have much more to share in the coming months, stay tuned!”

Warota: I Live Next to The Demon King’s Castle LOL gathers materials on PC via Steam this winter, followed by Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5 in 2027. Supported languages include Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.
