Italian indie studio Sgriusoft has officially revealed the first trailer and Steam page for Socialiskigrad, an upcoming tile-based city-building strategy game set in a fictional post-Soviet republic during the late 20th century.
In Socialiskigrad, players begin as the mayor of a newly formed nation, building districts tile by tile while balancing economic growth, public services, and social stability. As the republic expands, players can rise through the political ranks with the ultimate goal of becoming President of the Republic of Socialiskigrad.
Across 14 unique districts and four different biomes, including seaside, forest, countryside, and steppe regions, players will construct residential blocks, industries, transport networks, hospitals, markets, and monumental public buildings inspired by Balkan architecture.

The game combines classic city-building mechanics with deeper management systems, requiring players to oversee resources such as energy, workforce, healthcare, security, food supply, and corruption, while responding to emergencies, city council requests, and workers’ strikes.
Additional features include:
- Dynamic day-and-night cycle
- Seasonal snowfall and atmospheric weather
- Building renovation and repainting
- Sector progression and unlockable areas
