Demo launch, new trailer, & exclusive Steam keys set to drop March 9th
Proud Turkeys announces the launch of the first public demo for Tower Petroleum, a post-apocalyptic tower defense and deckbuilding strategy game set atop abandoned oil towers in a frozen world. The demo goes live March 9 during Steam’s Tower Defense Fest.
After months of redesign and rebalancing, the new demo represents a major evolution of the game. Turrets are now fully animated, modules are visually represented on the battlefield, and every tower has been reworked to serve a distinct strategic role. The team has also rebuilt the game’s balance to ensure that no single turret dominates — opening the door to far more versatile and experimental builds.
A Refined Strategic Experience
The demo introduces a restructured difficulty curve. The opening stage now serves as a tutorial experience, easing new players into the mechanics, while later levels deliver tighter pacing and more demanding tactical challenges as well as Hard and Impossible modes. New and expanded UI information, clearly displaying all buffs, debuffs, and modifiers to support high-level strategic play.
In addition to visual and balance changes, the demo includes performance optimizations, sound design improvements, and numerous bug fixes.
