Lofty Sky Entertainment’s upcoming non-linear narrative mystery game Hope in the City will reveal new gameplay content across a series of summer showcases, beginning with an in-depth feature on the inaugural Insider Gaming Showcase, airing on the media outlet’s YouTube and social channels at 8:00 PM GMT/12:00 PM ET on Thursday, May 28, 2026.
The segment includes a thirty-minute conversation with Creative Director Judith Cheung and Game Director Jason Loftus, offering a deeper look at the game’s story, investigative mechanics, and hand-drawn visual approach. Set in Northeast China, Hope in the City follows seventeen-year-old Hope Song as she investigates her parents’ disappearance using her sketchbook to collect clues, connect ideas, and piece together the truth.

Following the Insider Gaming Showcase, Hope in the City will also appear in creator Clemmy’s BIG (Best Indie Game) Summer Showcase, kicking off Tuesday, June 2 at 8:00 AM PT through June 9. And finally, as part of the Women-Led Games Showcase at Summer Games Fest on June 4 at 7:00 PM ET/4:00 PM PT, where Lofty Sky will highlight the women creatives helping shape the game’s personal, regionally grounded story.

These showcase appearances offer players a closer look at updated gameplay, new cutscene material, and Hope’s unconventional role as a teenage artist navigating a world where answers are difficult to obtain.
Hope in the City is currently in development for PC and can be wishlisted on Steam, with more platform news and demo details to be announced later this year.
