The fast-paced roguelike shooter brings intense bullet hell action, dangerous bosses, and fungal-fueled survival to Steam’s celebration of high-action games
Shroomwood on Steam, the upcoming top-down action roguelike from Sporelite Games and publisher Zemore Indie Games, will participate in Steam’s upcoming Bullet Fest beginning June 8th. The event celebrates bullet hells, shooters, and projectile-heavy action games from across the indie and AAA space.
In Shroomwood, players take control of Shroomie, a small mushroom warrior exploring a dangerous and ever-changing forest filled with hostile creatures, powerful bosses, randomized dungeons, and relentless combat encounters. Blending ranged combat with melee mechanics, the game delivers fast-paced roguelike progression with a colorful fungal-inspired world.
Steam Bullet Fest runs from June 8 through June 15 and highlights games centered around intense shooting mechanics, bullet-heavy gameplay, and action-focused combat. During the event, players will be able to discover upcoming titles, try demos, and wishlist featured games across the genre.
Shroomwood’s playable demo and active playtest will remain available now and throughout the festival, giving players an opportunity to experience its procedural runs, upgrade systems, weapon variety, and evolving gameplay ahead of its planned 2026 Early Access launch.
Inspired by genre favorites like Enter the Gungeon and The Binding of Isaac, Shroomwood combines responsive combat, handcrafted pixel art environments, persistent progression systems, quirky NPCs, and increasingly challenging encounters.
