Weave the world’s final melodies into a beautiful apocalypse
PhantomWorks, an independent game studio, announced that after three years of development, the anime-style 3D exploration adventure game “ARIE: Moonprayer” is officially available today on Steam and the Epic Games Store. The game’s Original Soundtrack has also been released simultaneously.
“ARIE: Moonprayer” invites players to explore a melancholic yet stunning post-apocalyptic world. By blending exploration with rhythm-based mechanics, players must perform “Moonsongs” to solve puzzles and uncover the deeply moving stories of those left behind.
To celebrate the launch, the official launch trailer “Bellflower” has been released, featuring the hauntingly beautiful track “Her Prayer.” The song is a collaboration between Triodust (composer for the OPUS series from the sound production team KUSHIH) and Canadian singer Lorien (@lorien_lra). The studio also shared special celebratory artwork by character designer and illustrator Junsui.
The game features full voice acting in both Chinese and Japanese. The Japanese cast includes talented voice actors such as Yohei Matsuoka and Asaki Yuikawa, allowing players to switch between languages to suit their preference.
Luna: A Symbol of Despair and Faith
Set on the world’s last remaining island, players face a looming apocalypse as the moon slowly falls toward the earth. As the protagonist “Diallo,” a Moonbard, you possess the unique ability to play “Moonsongs” – melodies that reveal the final wishes of the deceased, guiding their souls back to their celestial home: Luna.
A Melancholy Yet Beautiful End
“We hope players will take their time during this brief end-of-the-world journey,” says the development team. From diverse weather patterns to scenic ruins, players are encouraged to find fragments of the past and hit the “Perform” button to enjoy soothing melodies that bring peace to a world on the brink of destruction.
A Fusion of Puzzles, Rhythm, and Platforming
The gameplay combines environmental puzzles with platforming challenges. Players must observe their surroundings, find paths through varied terrain, and interact with the world through music to overcome obstacles.

Despite being a small team of one core member supported by part-time collaborators and outsourcers, the team expressed deep gratitude for the community’s feedback over the last three years.
