Investigate, document, and survive real-world-inspired legends in a co-op horror experience rooted in Appalachian folklore.
Ever feel like something’s watching you from beyond the treeline? You might be right. Six One Publishing and developer Jade Meadows have officially relaunched the Kickstarter campaign for Blue Ridge Hunting, the online co-op horror adventure in which players investigate, document, and hunt cryptids across the Appalachian Mountains.
Set in a region steeped in real-world sightings, folklore, and unexplained phenomena, Blue Ridge Hunting puts players in the boots of the Appalachian Investigation Group as they track down creatures lurking deep within the wilderness. Using a range of tools and equipment, investigators gather evidence, document encounters, and attempt to survive each expedition. But the woods are alive – creatures react to proximity voice chat, and radio communication, turning every conversation into a potential risk.

The relaunched Kickstarter campaign offers a closer look at the game’s core systems and long-term vision, with weekly reveals introducing new cryptids and map locations inspired by real Appalachian sightings. At full release, Blue Ridge Hunting will also feature a narrative-driven story mode following Levi Chambers, a West Virginia native haunted by lifelong encounters with the Mothman, alongside a freeplay co-op mode for players looking to explore the unknown together.
