Due to delay caused by Slay the Spire 2 release, Handmancers launched with even more content than initially promised
58BLADES and Human Qube Games are excited to announce that Handmancers – the first-person Rock-Paper-Scissors roguelite deckbuilder – is now available in Steam Early Access. After an initial delay from its March 9 release date, the team used the extra development time to deliver a more complete launch experience than originally planned.
When the delay was announced, 58BLADES committed to the community that the additional time would go directly into the game. That promise has been kept: the launch build includes multiple gameplay and UI improvements, new gameplay systems, and a bonus boss that was originally scheduled as a post-launch patch. Players picking up the game today get a fuller experience than what was on the roadmap at the time of the original release date.

Handmancers is a first-person Rock-Paper-Scissors roguelite deckbuilder, where every encounter is a tactical mind game and every run is built around shaping your hand into a devastating magical weapon. Beneath the simple ruleset is a deep customization layer: Gems reshape Signs with new effects, while Artifacts unlock synergies that can radically change how fights unfold. It’s not just about picking the right Sign, it’s about building the perfect hand to outsmart and overpower whatever waits ahead.

Handmancers’ Early Access is designed to grow with the community: feedback will directly shape balance, content additions, and quality-of-life improvements as development continues toward the full 1.0 release. Early Access Roadmap features lots of additional content and gameplay improvements and can be found on the Handmancers Steam Page.
Key Features:
- Rock, Paper, Scissor Combat. Simple rules, where each Sign counters another, forming the core of every encounter and shaping all deck and strategy decisions
- First Person Deckbuilder Roguelite. Experience the tactical depth of a deckbuilder as a duelist, not a person slamming cards on the table
- Customize Your Hand. Each card can have up to three modifiers. Combine it right and turn your gestures into nukes
- Play in Style. Pick your faction and solidify your play style: deliver heavy damage with Scissors, play defensively with Rock or stuck buffs with Paper
- Reach Into Corruption. Corruption disrupts the game, bringing the fourth unbeatable element to the table. This power comes with a hefty price though
Developed over more than three years, the game marks the first major release from the Italy-based studio 58BLADES. Handmancers is now available in Early Access for $14.99 USD on Steam.
