Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era Sells 250K Copies in Under 24 Hours

Hooded Horse, Unfrozen Studio, and Ubisoft are proud to announce that their highly anticipated turn-based strategy game, Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era, has sold 250,000 copies in under 24 hours (around 16 hours, in fact) since launching into early access.

Built on the familiar foundations of one of the most critically acclaimed strategy series of all time, this is the first new Heroes of Might and Magic game in over ten years. During early access, the developers plan to add the rest of the single-player campaign, more pre-made scenarios and map templates, Spectator Mode, Map Editor improvements, and changes and tweaks based on community feedback.

“Heroes of Might and Magic has an incredible history,” says Hooded Horse CEO Tim Bender. “It is an absolute thrill to see Olden Era get such a positive reception from players, and take its position as the newest entry in this classic series.”

Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era currently has a 91% “Very Positive” rating on Steam with nearly 3,000 reviews.

Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era is available in early access for PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store (via Game Preview) for $39.99 / £34.99 / €39.99 / ¥3,980. A 25% launch discount is running until May 13, 2026.

The game is also available via PC Game Pass.
