Track the Truth. Kill the Lies: New Steam Demo Drops for Werewolf: The Gloaming Malice

Developed by an independent game studio, Werewolf: The Gloaming Malice was officially announced on 3rd March with a free demo now available on Steam.

Werewolf: The Gloaming Malice is a single-player mystery game centered around interactive novel elements. Players take on the role of a hunter trapped in the “Shadow Fortress”. To survive, you must uncover the hidden werewolf and defeat it. While you are exploring the castle for clues and items, along with interacting with other trapped villagers, you will gradually uncover the truth.

Throughout the game, players will face several critical choices. You have to utilize “Search Mode” to sharpen your senses and uncover every trace of evidence. Combined with your interactions with the villagers, every piece of information becomes a weapon to expose the lies. However, when confronting the werewolf, intelligence alone isn’t enough, collecting items scattered throughout the castle and making use of them as weapons to fight back is a crucial part of your survival.

In the current free demo, players can experience the game in full flow. This includes conversations with villagers to get to know those trapped alongside you. You can also hunt for pre-implemented items, experiment with the crafting system, and face off against the werewolf. Battles are presented in two different forms of mini-games, with two separate items triggering them.

The developers have also revealed that the upcoming full version will feature even more expansive content, including new unlockable items and deeper character backstories. Furthermore, the game will feature a custom game mode. Players will be able to freely set the number of werewolves, difficulty of the minigames and base trust level of the characters, ensuring every night in the castle is filled with unknown terrors and variables.

The Werewolf: The Gloaming Malice Steam demo is now available for free. Don’t let the malice spread in the shadows – download the demo to try it out, add it to your wishlist, and get the latest game updates!
