After WINGS and Dames 4 Games, TetherGeist continues its festival run, delighting all who play it.
The challenging, yet heartwarming precision platformer from O. and Co. Games, TetherGeist, has been making waves on the festival circuit. In March, the game was featured at The MIX Spring Showcase at GDC, alongside initiatives supporting underrepresented voices in game development, including WINGS and Dames 4 Games.
The game now continues its festival journey as it has been named a finalist in four categories at the upcoming BIG Festival at gamescom LATAM: Best Game, Best Impact, Best Art, and Best Sound.

At the heart of TetherGeist is Astral Projection, a tether linking Mae to her spirit, powering both movement and problem-solving. Navigating through mystical landscapes, skill develops with practice, and even failure is part of the journey. The game is demanding but fair, rewarding practice and perseverance.

About TetherGeist
TetherGeist is a wholesome precision platformer about Mae, her spirit companion Bao, and a coming-of-age pilgrimage where growth comes from curiosity, persistence, and self-reliance.
- A Platformer About Growth, Not Combat: Every challenge in TetherGeist is overcome through timing, momentum, and careful movement in this combat-free adventure.
- Astral Projection as Expressive Mastery: Mae uses Bao to project her spirit, navigating the world in inventive ways. Each chapter adds new movement mechanics to explore with.
- Challenging but Supportive Design: Frequent checkpoints and instant retries keep the experience forgiving, encouraging experimentation and progress.
- Representation Matters: The game addresses disability, social dynamics, and spirituality. Mae’s motor disability shapes her journey, Foyal wrestles with faith, and NPCs reflect diverse cultures, identities, and classes. Many were designed with Kickstarter backers.
- Characters That Resonate: The heart of TetherGeist is its people. Players meet NPCs with rich personalities, diverse backgrounds, and meaningful struggles. Relationships, interactions, and choices bring depth to the world, making each encounter memorable.
