What began as a small experimental project has grown into a breakout success. Be My Horde, a roguelite survivor with auto-battler elements centered around necromancy, has now surpassed 100,000 copies sold, and it’s still far from its full potential.
Originally developed by a small team at Polished Games as a learning project, the game was planned as a modest, one-year production with limited expectations. The goal was to sharpen skills, build a team, and after the launch, move on to something bigger. Early ambitions were set at around 10,000 copies during Early Access. But the project took on a life of its own…
Be My Horde launched in Early Access on June 18, 2024. In it, players take on the role of Moriana, a powerful and seductive necromancer determined to conquer the world. Yes, you are kinda evil in this scenario… This time, players aren’t the lone survivors struggling with hordes of enemies. Instead, they are the ones creating hordes.

Using Moriana’s necromantic abilities, every fallen enemy can be resurrected and added to an ever-growing undead army. Peasants, warriors, demons, even sheep, anything that falls in battle can return under the player’s command. Here, enemies are not mere obstacles, but resources, turning the classic survivor formula on its head.
During its first year, Be My Horde steadily built a dedicated community, reaching 25,000 copies sold. That momentum encouraged the team to expand its ambitions and work on the game a little longer. In May 2025, the major update Welcome to Hell introduced a new realm with unique enemies and features… and doubled the game’s lifetime sales in just two weeks!

Since then, the project has continued to grow alongside its success. What started as a three-person effort has grown into a team of 14 developers, supported by outsourced talent. Ongoing updates, including December’s Horde Reborn, continue to expand the game while incorporating player feedback.
Now, Be My Horde has crossed the 100,000 copies milestone, far beyond anything the team imagined just a year and a half ago. And the journey is far from over.
Polished Games is currently focused on refining and expanding the game’s core systems before introducing larger waves of new content. The full release is planned for Q1 2027, with Be My Horde shaping up to be a game-changing title for the studio… and, as a matter of fact, it already is.
