Fields of Aaru drops you into the ancient Egyptian afterlife, where you live out a second life along the Nile. Build a home on the river, help the village by fixing things that have fallen into disrepair, and spend your days farming, fishing, and working the riverbanks where wildlife gathers. When you’re ready, journey into the desert to uncover ancient ruins, tombs, and hidden secrets.

Befriend the Locals
Get to know the people of Aaru and lend a hand through quests that fix up the town and bring daily life back into rhythm. Along the way you’ll learn ancient crafts like shaping stone, firing clay, and irrigating your fields.
Harvest the Nile’s Bounty
Plant crops in fertile soil, cast a line in the Nile, and head out to gather raw materials you’ll need for tools and building. Use irrigation and shadufs to bring water to new fields. Dig canals, shape the land, and expand what you can grow.

Venture Into the Desert
Carry water and look for shade as you head into the open desert. Search for oases, explore ruins, and descend into tombs to uncover rare materials and lost knowledge buried beneath the sand. What you bring back changes what you can craft and build back along the Nile.
Appease the Gods
Uncover shrines scattered across the world and bring offerings to earn the gods’ favor. Each god offers their own set of boons. Ptah empowers your tools and craftwork, Hapi speeds up crop growth and makes harvests more bountiful, and Sekhmet grants protection and combat prowess for the desert and its dangers.
