Black Mountain of Tlaltecuhtli Revealed with First Screenshots
Developer 3DAW today unveils Black Mountain of Tlaltecuhtli, a third-person supernatural action-adventure set inside a living mountain rooted in Aztec mythology, where reality can fracture and reassemble in real time.
Players step into the role of a bounty hunter tracking a target into a modern research facility carved into the core of an ancient mountain. What begins as a routine pursuit unravels into something far stranger. Beneath steel corridors and reinforced bunkers lies a prison built centuries ago to contain something the Aztecs feared enough to seal away forever.
Modern experiments have weakened that seal.
Now the mountain is rewriting itself.

The Mountain is Not Just a Place
Long before concrete and fluorescent lighting, the Aztecs carved ritual chambers deep into Black Mountain to imprison an ancient force. Centuries later, a research facility was built directly above that prison. Beneath steel corridors lie carved stone halls that predate the bunker above, remnants of something the modern structure never fully erased. As reality destabilizes, architecture gives way to older spaces, and entire sections of the facility shift and collapse without warning.

Reality Can Be Rewritten
The mountain does not remain static. Certain areas, known as Loop Zones, reset and reconfigure in real time. Rooms shift mid-combat, cover vanishes, and new vertical routes emerge in seconds as environments rearrange themselves around the player. These fractures can be manipulated, allowing spatial shifts to escape danger or open new paths. Not every encounter can be solved head-on.

Combat Inside a Fractured World
Combat blends tactical third-person gunplay, stealth, and vertical traversal across two overlapping realities. Hostile survivors guard the facility while reality-warped entities emerge from the destabilised prison beneath the mountain. Prototype weapons and experimental technology are scattered throughout the complex, giving players new tools to fight back as the environment grows increasingly unstable the deeper they descend.
