Find evidence of cryptids. Uncover the mystery of Lone Pine. Survive the journey home.
Lone Pine is officially open to the public on March 24, 2026 (8am PT) with the launch of its demo on Steam, inviting players to explore the fictional national park to take photographs of mythical creatures and prove their existence.
The debut game from Australian indie game studio Bang Bang Bang Interactive, Lone Pine is a 2D graphic and narrative adventure with puzzle solving and expressive player choices.
Izzie is a sharp-witted, slightly cynical twenty-something who’s hit a rough patch in life and is looking for an adventure. Armed with a camera, a stubborn streak, and just enough supplies, she heads deep into Lone Pine National Park chasing rumours of cryptids and forgotten legends. As eerie encounters unfold, Izzie must unravel the secrets hidden on the mountain and find a way to survive the journey home.

In the demo, players can experience the first section of the game and all its core gameplay mechanics. The gameplay features a mix of classic point-and-click exploration, with full controller support and an easy-to-use node system (no pixel hunting), combined with modern interactive puzzles.
To photograph the cryptids, players will gradually learn to use real-life camera settings such as aperture and shutter speed, then name their new discoveries as their reward. There are in-depth and responsive dialogue trees when speaking with the park rangers to progress the story, and learn more about the mystery of the cryptids.

As Izzie explores deeper into the park, she finds herself drawn into the strange mysteries surrounding its elusive inhabitants. Over the years, a handful of researchers have tried to uncover the truth about what makes Lone Pine unique, only to vanish without a trace, or leave suddenly without a word about what they saw. Whether the creatures are hiding, protecting something, or simply watching, no one truly knows. But Izzie intends to find out…
