About Area Wars

AREA WARS™ is a fast-paced 2D omnidirectional shooter where players battle relentless enemies within a constantly changing enclosed area. By triggering explosive chain explosions, players can increase their score multiplier and aim for massive high scores.
Controls are simple and focused: Shot, Bomb, and Movement.
There are no character upgrades – allowing players to concentrate entirely on combat.
With sessions lasting approximately 30 to 60 minutes, the game offers accessible yet score-focused gameplay for both newcomers and experienced shooter fans.
Key Features of Area Wars

Changing Areas
Players fight within an enclosed area that shifts and contracts over time.
Enemy formations, attack patterns, and area layouts vary by wave, creating constantly changing combat situations.
While players cannot leave the area, the walls do not deal damage, allowing players to move freely without unnecessary frustration.
Devastating Chain Explosions
Defeated enemies trigger explosive chain explosions that engulf nearby foes.
The longer the chain continues, the higher the score multiplier climbs.
Strategic enemy elimination timing allows players to pursue extremely high scores.
Massive Boss Encounters
Eight massive bosses composed of countless parts stand in the player’s way.
Destroying a boss triggers a spectacular chain explosion that annihilates all surrounding parts, delivering a satisfying victory.
“AREA WARS™ was inspired by the arcade shooters of the 1980s, and I set out to create a game focused on simple and pure gameplay.
The game intentionally avoids upgrade systems so players can focus entirely on enemy movement and combat.
I hope players enjoy the thrill of chasing high scores through devastating chain explosions.
I’m truly grateful to everyone who has supported the project.”
