New demo is out with improved art, new music, and voice acting
Indie developer Sparrowland is happy to announce the launch of a new demo of The Tragedy at Deer Creek available on Steam.

Drawing inspiration from classic adventure games such as Myst and Monkey Island, alongside modern narrative experiences like What Remains of Edith Finch and Dear Esther, indie studio Sparrowland invites players to step into its debut title, The Tragedy at Deer Creek. A newly polished demo is now available on Steam, offering an early look at the game ahead of its full release.

Using classic point-and-click adventure mechanics – including item-based puzzles, environmental storytelling, and investigative exploration – players take on the role of photographer Charlotte Gray as she arrives at the long-abandoned logging camp of Deer Creek to document the site for her upcoming photo book.

As players progress through the demo, solving puzzles and uncovering clues, it becomes clear that Deer Creek harbors a tragic history – secrets buried deep beneath the snow. The demo represents a carefully crafted introductory chapter, designed to showcase the game’s tone, mechanics, and narrative direction, while inviting players to wishlist the game and follow its continued development on Steam.
Looking for other games with an air of mystery? Fearwoods opens Steam demo page, with the public demo launching February 23rd.
