Sneak Through an Overworked Programmer’s Apartment and Secretly Exorcise a Ghost That Lives Inside His PC
Odencat Inc. announced today the release of a new demo for the pixel-art adventure game Mousebusters on Steam. A brand-new key visual has also been unveiled.
Mousebusters is an exploration × action story adventure starring a single mouse who battles evil spirits lurking inside an apartment building.
Players take control of a tiny mouse and sneak into residents’ rooms alongside a reliable Kansai-dialect partner known as “Shishō.” Through exploration, dialogue events, and battles using a spirit-blasting gun, the story unfolds. Planned release: Spring 2026.

Play Room 102 – Home of the Otaku “Salaryman” Programmer
The new demo lets players fully explore Room 102, home of an overworked programmer.
Set inside his cluttered room, players can enjoy exploration, story events, and spirit-cleansing battles. After coming home from work, the resident immediately resumes coding, surviving on cans of “Blue Bison” energy drink. His room hides more than exhaustion. A malevolent spirit is said to dwell in his room. It’s time to exorcise it.
Evil Spirit Discovered

When the resident powers on his computer after returning home, the evil spirit appears on the screen. You must eliminate the spirit without being noticed by the resident.
Explore the Room from a Mouse’s Perspective
After the resident falls asleep, you’ll need to search for clues to log into his computer. Explore every corner of the room from a mouse’s point of view. You may even find some familiar-looking figurines.
Blast Away in Spirit-Cleansing Battles

Once certain conditions are met and you confront the spirit, a battle begins. The Room 102 spirit attacks while moving between dual monitors. React carefully and target its weak point – the eye. Difficulty options are available, making it accessible even for players who are not confident in shooting mechanics.
The demo offers approximately 15–20 minutes of free gameplay. Streaming and distribution are permitted for both free and monetized content, by individuals or companies.
