Morels: Out of this World Reveals New Gameplay Trailer!

Abrams Studios is happy to announce a new Gameplay Trailer for their upcoming game Morels: Out of this World, coming to Windows PC (Steam) in 2026. The game takes players beyond Earth and onto vibrant alien planets filled with strange mushrooms, mysterious creatures, and diverse biomes.

Morels: Out of This World invites players to explore handcrafted alien worlds where nothing feels familiar. From glowing alien jungles and harsh desert planets to strange forests and a world where dinosaurs still roam, each planet offers unique environments, wildlife, and atmosphere to uncover.

Players will hunt rare alien mushrooms, photograph alien and prehistoric creatures, and document the lifeforms of each planet at their own pace. The game features no combat and focuses instead on peaceful exploration, curiosity, and collection-based progression.

  • Explore diverse alien biomes and discover new collectables.
  • Several new alien creatures and objects to discover and photograph.
  • Purchase several items in the outdoor shop to help you on your way.
  • Enjoy a new experience each season you play. New mushroom locations, animal activity, weather, and more.
  • Take on weekly tasks including finding a certain number of mushrooms or photographing specific animals to get extra points.
  • 4 unique alien maps with exciting terrain and surprises!
  • View all your photos in your photo book.
  • Learn tips and tricks inside your Hunter’s Manual to help you throughout the season. Unlock new pages by moving up in hunter levels!
  • Customize the game to your interests by choosing from a broad list of different music or just enjoy the calming sounds of nature.
  • Exploration Mode: Play as alien creatures. You will also be rewarded a point handicap! Unlock new alien creatures and have fun exploring.

Morels: Out of This World is currently in development for PC and will be available on Steam. Players can wishlist the game now to follow development updates and be notified at launch.
