Independent solo developer TestOneDev is proud to announce the official release of DETECTIVE 26, a relaxing, turn-based mystery board game now available on Steam. Merging the strategic flow of tile-based exploration with the sharp logic of classic deduction puzzles, DETECTIVE 26 offers a “coffee-break” investigative experience designed to be solved in under five minutes.
In DETECTIVE 26, players take control of a detective navigating vibrant, low-poly maps. By rolling dice and traversing randomized tiles, players collect clue tokens that reveal traits of the “Wanted” person. With a ticking turn counter and a pool of 50 unlockable suspects, players must use logic to filter out the innocent and make a final accusation before time runs out.

“With DETECTIVE 26, I wanted to capture the tactile satisfaction of a physical board game and distill it into quick, rewarding sessions,” says Piotr ‘TestOneDev’ Gburzynski. “It’s a game for people who love the ‘aha!’ moment of solving a puzzle but only have a few minutes between tasks or want a relaxing way to wind down”.
