The sequel to the cult game will feature a co-op mode as well as additional functionalities – including Cooking Sense, which visualizes real-world senses such as smell and taste.

The release of Cooking Simulator 2: Better Together in March 2026 will allow for quality-of-life improvements and changes to the game’s blueprint system, which should significantly enhance the gameplay experience. Enhanced guest behavior scenarios will also be introduced, and the plating system will be expanded – from simple plate presentation to fine dining. Player satisfaction is a priority, and March will also provide a better release window for the full PC version of the game. At the same time, discussions are already underway regarding ports to consoles and other platforms.
Another change will be the expansion of the 30 special skills and perks system with even more engaging functionalities – designed to have a greater impact on gameplay. The expanded order system will introduce an intelligent, automated shopping list that continuously analyzes the restaurant menu and suggests current ingredient needs – helping to keep operations running smoothly and maintain full control over supplies.

Master the Kitchen Chaos… or Let it Take Over
With the introduction of co-op mode, Cooking Simulator will offer players an entirely new dimension of gameplay – thanks in part to blueprints, the next-generation recipe system. They allow players to save their own recipes as clear recipe cards, guiding them step by step through the preparation of each dish. Of course, that’s assuming players want to master the kitchen chaos, of which at least a pinch – and sometimes a whole handful – is always an essential ingredient in Cooking Simulator.
Since November, the second installment of Cooking Simulator has been undergoing continuous external Q&A testing, playtests, and focus groups – providing feedback on new features and changes. The next step will be broader online testing in external Q&A, and with the release of the Prologue in February 2026, additional marketing activities are also planned.

The Cooking Simulator phenomenon, which has captured players across the globe – from the USA to Europe and all the way to Asia – is not just a gaming sensation, but also a major business success. The game is continuously being developed, and its VR version has received a full 4K relaunch. Cooking Simulator VR: Next-Gen Edition (Enhanced), powered by Unreal Engine, will set the direction for future games.
