Two new levels, gravity-defying puzzles, and a limited-time discount during Steam Scream IV
Indie publisher Firenut Games and solo developer José Manuel Conesa Hernández are thrilled to announce a major free content update for the acclaimed first-person survival horror title Backrooms Level X, available now on PC via Steam.
This new update deepens the horrors lurking within the Backrooms, introducing two additional levels, a gravity-shifting gameplay mechanic, and multiple quality-of-life enhancements. Players can experience this expanded nightmare at a 30% discount during the Steam Scream IV event, running until 3 November 2025.

Backrooms Level X delivers an intense, atmospheric survival horror experience inspired by the eerie concept of “liminal spaces.” Players awaken in an endless maze of decaying rooms and flickering lights, where logic unravels and unseen horrors stalk the corridors.
Each level reveals fragments of a disturbing mystery tied to a lost VHS tape discovered in Albuquerque, 1986, a recording of an event that should not exist.
