Alaska Gold Fever is part of the Best Indie Games Winter Showcase 2025, hosted by Clemmy, also known as the Big Winter Showcase.

About Alaska Gold Fever
Set in 1896 Alaska, the game puts players in the shoes of a gold miner during the gold rush. Players explore harsh and breathtaking wilderness environments – forests, mountains, and grasslands in search of gold, with the ultimate goal of striking it rich.
Survival is a key element, as players must prepare for blizzards, heavy rains, and dangerous wildlife, including wolves. Other miners or bandits may pose a threat as well, making every encounter potentially deadly.
Gameplay includes:
- Exploration & Mining: Dig tunnels, search for caves, and mine gold using tools like picks, dynamite, and supports to prevent cave-ins.
- Equipment & Supplies: Outfit yourself for survival with warm clothes, food, and mining equipment.
- Dog Sled Management: Travel across Alaska with a dog sled, taking care of your dogs’ needs and customizing their gear.
- Treasure Hunts: Follow maps to uncover hidden gold and valuable resources.
Alaska Gold Fever is set to release in 2026 on Steam.
