New Chapter, Mecha Paint System, and a Showcase at Tokyo Game Show
Developer Rouge Mecha has announced that its Early Access title Death Ring: Second Impact will today receive the major content update “ACT III: INTO THE DEATH RING”. Death Ring: Second Impact is a roguelite turn-based strategy game where players command the Griffin Squad, leading their mechs and pilots against colossal monsters, undertaking diverse missions, and gradually uncovering the conspiracy behind the Death Ring.
This update introduces a brand-new chapter “Into the Death Ring”, which includes dozens of new maps with unique mechanics, the powerful new boss Zeramorph, a new mecha Antey, a large set of new loadouts and modules and the long-awaited mecha paint customization system.
The interior of the Primal Death Ring is fractured into extreme environments. On the frozen wastelands, the new Cryo mechanic hampers mech movement while lurking creatures grow tougher and deadlier in the frigid air. In searing volcanic rifts, molten rocks erupt, firestorms split the skies, and suffocating heat waves render most defenses ineffective under the Overheat effect. Step by step, the Griffin Squad will advance into the very heart of the Death Ring – where they must safeguard scientists extracting the Catalyst Zero and confront the swarm’s ruler, the evolution-wielding titan known as the Zeramorph.
The new mecha Antey, developed by the Siberian Manufacturing Group boasts an immense frame and exceptional breakthrough capabilities, becoming a critical asset for Griffin Squad. At the same time, breakthroughs in material science have made personalization possible: commanders can now use the new mecha paint system to give their units a distinctive look.
Rouge Mecha notes that this update not only expands the game with a new chapter but also brings extensive balance adjustments and a wealth of new loadouts and modules, enabling players to build strategies with greater freedom and variety. Additionally, the studio has confirmed that the new version will be showcased at the upcoming Tokyo Games Show, where players will be able to experience the new chapter firsthand.
