Two-Player-Only Watercolor Platformer Where You Work Together to Throw Cats Into Portals
Double Dusk, an independent fully remote game studio, revealed Whisk on January 13th, a two-player first-person platformer focused on shared movement and communication. Press, creators and players can play the demo now on Steam, and the studio is taking part in the February 2026 Steam Next Fest.

In Whisk, players control Luna and Foam and must move as one – coordinating jumps, grabs, and throws to send Dreamcats home through unstable portals. Every action is cooperative, every mistake is shared, and speedrunning success depends on trust and timing between two players rather than individual execution.
Stages are short, sweet, and built to replay. Players are encouraged to laugh off failed runs, refine their coordination, and chase cleaner routes through time trials, leaderboards, and hidden rescue challenges. The demo includes 10 playable stages designed to teach flow, communication, and mastery through repetition.

Founded in 2024, Double Dusk is a three-person indie team with backgrounds on VALORANT and Sky: Children of Light. The studio has hand-painted a unique watercolor visual style built in Unreal Engine 5.
“Whisk took shape from us wanting to build an original teamwork experience not seen before in games. We are inspired by memories of playing catch as kids, talented traditional artists, and the teamwork in gymnastic cheerleading stunts.” said Alexander Mistakidis, founder of Double Dusk. “We’re thrilled to see Whisk’s Dreamcats being saved by teams of players all over the world.”
