In The Vanishing Train | ワンマン列車, the protagonist begins his regular shift on a quiet rural line. As he continues operating the train, strange and unexplainable incidents gradually occur. Depending on the player’s choices, the story branches into four different endings.
As a train driver, the protagonist must operate the train and bring it to a precise stop at each station. Unexpected troubles may arise during driving, and the player may need to respond to passengers. Through these routine tasks, subtle signs of something unusual start to appear.
During the shift, the cabin lights may suddenly turn off, unsettling passengers may appear, and mysterious events unfold. As players progress, various clues scattered throughout the game connect, revealing the underlying truth.
Player decisions influence the direction of the narrative. Four distinct endings await, each offering a different conclusion. Multiple playthroughs allow players to further explore the world and uncover its mysteries.
