AI Frog Interactive Inc. will release the Steam Early Access version of the craft-survival game Exelio on March 5, 2026.
The Early Access version will be delivered in a playable state featuring exploration, crafting, and combat from the early to mid stages of the game. While incorporating feedback from players, we will continue expanding content and fine-tuning balance. Although it is an Early Access release, we are preparing a content volume substantial enough to enjoy at a near full-game level.
In addition, as a bonus for those who purchase during the Early Access period, we will gift special avatar outfits (costumes) for the game’s two heroines.
Key Features of Exelio
Survive on a Harsh Planet and Build Your Base
Players awaken as the protagonist on the unknown planet “Exelio.” Gather food and materials, craft equipment and structures, and fight to survive in a punishing environment. Explore diverse locations such as mountains, forests, and snowy fields, and develop your survival strategy through new resources and encounters with creatures.
A Day-and-Night Gameplay Cycle with Distinct Roles
The game features a strong contrast: daytime focuses on resource gathering and base expansion, while nighttime demands preparing defenses against enemies that attack your base. Players can switch between two protagonists and leverage each character’s strengths to overcome challenges.
Unreal Engine 5 Visuals and Optimization
Built with Unreal Engine 5, Exelio aims to deliver both beautiful natural environments and a tough survival experience. The PC version supports up to 4K resolution, and optimization is underway to ensure smooth play on Steam Deck and mid-range PCs.
A Story on a Planet Full of Mysteries
As exploration progresses, fragments of the story – what happened on this planet, and why the protagonist is here – are gradually revealed. We emphasize an experience where players assemble the narrative through their own interpretation via logs, environmental storytelling, and events.
About Early Access
Exelio will be released in Early Access with the exploration, crafting, and combat elements from the early to mid portion of the game. While gathering player feedback, we will continue expanding content and refining balance. Based on the reactions we received from exhibiting at Tokyo Game Show 2025, we have continued polishing the play feel, including controls and early-game pacing improvements.
Although it is an Early Access release, we are preparing a content volume substantial enough to enjoy at a near full-game level.

Early Access Purchase Bonus
Players who purchase Exelio during the Early Access period will receive special avatar outfits (costumes) for the two heroines. The bonus will be granted at the start of Early Access.
