Remnant Protocol is set to launch in Early Access on March 12, 2026. The space combat sim, where players lead a galactic rebellion through intense dogfighting and strategic base management, is the debut title from studio Progenitor Game Studios Ltd.
Remnant Protocol was one of 50 games featured during the PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted, where it unveiled its new cinematic trailer and launch date.
The Meta-backed game arrives at a time when space combat sims remain underserved despite strong demand from fans of the genre.

From a hidden rebel base, players raid outposts, forge alliances, manufacture ships, and lead wingmates into battle against a totalitarian regime, all while evading detection. Every operation advances the rebellion but increases the enemy’s hunt for your location. The game draws inspiration from classics like TIE Fighter and Wing Commander, with a strategy layer mechanic similar to the new XCOMs.
Early Access features a standalone roguelite prologue set centuries before the main campaign. Players lead a flotilla of survivors through a galaxy-hopping adventure with the game’s full strategic systems: intelligence, research, operational logistics, and politicking. The studio plans to expand the mode with mutators, prestige systems, and meta-progression based on player feedback.

“We view Early Access as the best of both worlds,” said Scott McCallum, Studio Director of Progenitor Game Studios Ltd. “A polished experience that stands on its own with our new roguelite prologue, while we take the time to craft a campaign that lives up to what our community deserves.”
Currently ranked in the top 1,000 most wishlisted titles on Steam, Remnant Protocol will be available on Steam and the Meta Horizon Store when it launches early next year.
