Solo indie developer PocketsOfEnergy is proud to announce that the punishing precision platformer Hardcore Circus is out on Steam.
Inspired by classic precision platformers and Foddian games, Hardcore Circus follows Dik, a determined acrobat with a beer belly and a very tight costume. When the Devil drags his brother Alex to Hell, Dik jumps in after him – armed with nothing but momentum and physics.

Failure Leaves a Mark
Unlike traditional platformers, Hardcore Circus introduces a twisted survival mechanic: Legs are optional.
If players fail a jump and take damage, they don’t necessarily die. They might lose their legs and become a rolling torso.
While it looks ridiculous, skilled players can adapt their physics calculations and “roll” their way to victory. However, losing your hands results in a Game Over – you need those to climb.
Environmental Combat

There are no weapons in Hardcore Circus. Boss fights are described as “intense survival dances” where movement is the only attack. Players must outsmart evil bosses by triggering falling debris, baiting enemies into traps, or activating lasers to destroy shields.
Key Features:
- Momentum-Based Controls: No button mashing. Success is about entering the flow state, calculating the arc, and launching with perfect timing.
- Dynamic Damage: Lose limbs and keep playing. Even as a torso, you can finish the level if you have the skill.
- A Twisted World Tour: Parkour through 6 distinct biomes including The Circus, The Castle, The Ocean, and The Tower.
- Global Competition: The game implements multiple Leaderboards and Achievements for players aiming for perfection.
- Instant Respawn: Fail fast, try again instantly.
