Independent game developer, makz, is pleased to announce that the Early Access version of ELbab, a roguelite auto-battle game inspired by an infinitely expanding library, launched on Steam on December 12th.
ELbab is a roguelite auto-battler set in an endlessly expanding library. Progression follows a grid based, dungeon style structure in which players choose their path forward, delivering a play experience similar to using a build planning or simulation tool found in hack and slash games.
The game can be played entirely with the mouse, making it ideal for enjoying build creation while drinking coffee, watching videos, or waiting for matchmaking in another game.
Auto-Battles and Build Crafting

Because all combat in ELbab is handled through auto-battles, players spend most of their time designing and optimizing character builds.
The game may especially appeal to players who enjoy browsing trade sites in hack and slash games, planning builds in tools like PoB, or analyzing statistics on platforms such as Maxroll, QuestLog, or OP.GG.
Designed for “Play-While-Doing-Something-Else”

With its combination of auto-battle gameplay and mouse-only controls, ELbab is designed specifically for “play while doing something else” experiences.
Whether you’re drinking coffee, watching videos, or waiting in matchmaking queues for competitive games, ELbab offers a relaxed and accessible way to enjoy deep build crafting. Assigning the ESC key to a mouse button may further improve comfort during play.
Early Access Content

At the start of Early Access, ELbab features over 200 unique items and three playable characters.
The game currently includes dungeon layers 1 through 4, along with 5 difficulty levels. Ongoing updates are planned to steadily expand the game, allowing for even more diverse and complex build possibilities over time.
