Dino Run 2: Kickstarter Goals Exceeded, Late Pledges Enabled

The Kickstarter for Pixeljam’s Dino Run 2 has finished its initial funding period, raising over $100,000 and unlocking 12 Stretch Goals.

Dino Run 2 is a hyper-evolved fast-paced prehistoric platformer where players race against extinction in lush prehistoric biomes, choose from a roster of specialized dinos, and customize their look with a deep library of cosmetic mods while escaping the unstoppable “doom wall.”

The campaign is now accepting late pledges, allowing new backers to still join and get immediate access to the Multiplayer Sandbox, which contains world-building tools and first access to systems that will power the full game. 2 major updates have already been added to the Sandbox since the campaign launched, including but not limited to:

  • Adjustable pivot points to expand the possibilities for dino-engineering:
  • New types of materials and colors that can be assigned to placeable objects (including extremely heavy Tungsten and very light Pumice)
  • New Halloween & autumn decorations for making seasonallly-appropriate homesteads and sandbox creations.

The recently-released Community Creations #2 video shows what Dino Run 2 players have been up to in the past month: making minigolf games, egg-heists, hamster-ball runs and challenging platformer puzzles.
