Afterglow, a popular post-apocalyptic idle MMORPG, has just released its latest update (Version 0.2.17) to Google Play and Apple TestFlight, now available for testers. This update introduces a host of new features, gameplay improvements, and essential balance tweaks to further enhance the immersive post-apocalyptic survival experience.
Key Features & Improvements:
- Enhanced Actions Screen: Players can now see the total remaining time for actions to be completed.
- Item Information Overhaul: The item info popup has been expanded with a new “industry” tab, showing where items are used and a “buy” action for easier shopping.
- Stale Connection Popup: Players will now see helpful gameplay tips when there’s a stale connection.
- Character Movement Animation: A new character move animation has been added to the fight screen to make combat more exciting.
- Market Improvements: The Market now includes search functionality and new categories for containers and vanity items.
- Map Quality of Life: Players will no longer experience a map reset when returning from locations.
- Grouped Notifications: New item notifications are now grouped together, and players can see earned/spent currency during transactions.
- Increased Crafting Action Repetitions: Players can now repeat crafting actions more times.
Balance Changes:
- Simplified Recipes: Steel, Brass, and Tanned Leather no longer require recipes to craft.
- Crafting Time Reductions: Crafting times for items like threads and needles have been reduced to speed up production.
- Armor Adjustments: Leather armor now has a primary armor type of CHEMICAL, and Arcade Revenant Armor has received an increased rating.
- Shotgun Skill Buff: The “Meat Grinder” skill bonus damage requirement has been reduced from 4 AR to 3AR, making it more accessible.
- XP Gains Boosted: Crafting and PvE XP gains have been increased.
- Adjusted Food Crafting Requirements: Food crafting now requires fewer materials, making it easier to maintain your survivor’s needs.
