Developer Zenovia Interactive aims to use the extra time to add additional polish and potential new features to the highly anticipated shooter.
Independent games publisher Retroware and developer Zenovia Interactive have announced a new release date for their upcoming cyberpunk run-and-gun title, Neon Inferno. Originally slated for October 2, the game will now launch on November 20, 2025.
Though development is nearly complete, the delay stems from a combination of factors, including the differing certification processes across platforms and an increasingly crowded fall release calendar. The extra time will allow the team to apply additional polish and ensure Neon Inferno delivers the best experience possible when it blazes onto all major consoles and Steam this holiday season.

You can read the full statement from the Sri Kankanahalli, Neon Inferno’s creator, below:
“Retroware and Zenovia Interactive have decided to shift the launch of Neon Inferno from October 2nd to November 20th.
As of this writing, the game is essentially done. However, unfortunately, releasing it isn’t as simple as pressing a button. We needed to take into account the schedules and certification needs of multiple platform holders and multiple physical distribution companies, as well as Retroware’s release schedule, which is jam-packed this fall. We considered the option of staggering the launch and releasing on some platforms before others, but in the end, we decided a simultaneous release was worth preserving at all costs.
In the end, this small delay is a good thing for Neon Inferno. We get even more time to polish the experience and make it as amazing as possible for you, and we may get to throw in some new features and new content originally planned for post-release. Neon Inferno will be an even better game this way, and you will be able to feel it.”
