Launched by the duo developer studio Chaystar Unlimited, the innovative game invites players to unveil a small town’s expansive timeline mystery through interconnected character stories (people, plants, and animals) using incremental/idler mechanics, progression systems, and automation strategy.

Players unlock, combine, and synthesize the work of Asbury Pines townsfolk (the Pinies), plants, and animals to build a story-unlocking factory that stretches across the town’s timeline – from the late Stone Age to the deep future. Gameplay features creating strategic automation loops, upgrades, and resource boosts that all flow towards unlocking an image-rich narrative of a grisly mystery unfolding across the past, present, and future of a small Appalachian town. Scaling production means scaling the mystery narrative.
The game’s narrative is explored through 50+ unique characters and 350+ bite-sized stories that stretch and stitch together across 12 eras of time. Each era offers more puzzle and gentle complexity in creating the most efficient story-unlocking production loop. As gameplay evolves, so does the balance between resource management, engine building, story development, and idle progression.
What emerges across the town’s timeline is a sprawling factory of working characters converting resources into stories, and stories into more characters, on and on. By the end of it all, players not only solve an epic mystery, but learn the secret behind the flow of time.
