One More Game also announced an early access release date of October 21st. The Founder’s Edition offers expanded access and exclusive cosmetics.
Independent developer One More Game today revealed that SWAPMEAT, the co-op roguelite third-person shooter where you swap body parts with the enemies you defeat to steal their abilities, will enter Early Access for PC and macOS via Steam on Oct. 21, 2025. Players who purchase the game during Early Access will receive the special Founder’s Edition, offering expanded access and exclusive items before the game’s full release. The SWAPMEAT Founder’s Edition will be available digitally for an MSRP of $24.99 and will include two copies of the game for instant co-op access, an exclusive set of three in-game cosmetics (a Golden Spatula, “Carl’s Original Golden” antenna ball and “The Alt Comedian Connor O’Malley Head”), access to the B-Sides of the game soundtrack, and the ability to preview an upcoming solar system ahead of its official release. Aspiring Meat Scientists can add SWAPMEAT to their Steam Wishlist now.
One More Game is offering players one last chance to play SWAPMEAT ahead of Early Access via a brand-new demo in Steam Next Fest. Players can download the demo for free and join the ranks of Rangus Meats™ to check out the delightfully deep and endlessly entertaining meat-swapping gameplay for themselves, either solo or with their squad for up to four-player co-op. Steam Next Fest also serves as the final opportunity to earn the exclusive “Quack Ops” Cosmetic Set that includes a rubber duck-themed helmet, spatula, and antenna ball, available only to those who have played the game ahead of Early Access.
The Steam Next Fest demo is the latest playable opportunity for SWAPMEAT, following a series of public ‘Meat Lab’ playtests driven by One More Game’s Alpha-driven Development process. Through these playtests, the studio has worked closely with its community to actively address and iterate upon player feedback. This collaborative approach to game development has allowed playtesters to see their feedback implemented in real-time and directly influence the game’s evolution.

This new demo drops Meat Scientists into the game’s first solar system – The Jangus System. Here, players can traverse a series of three hostile planets – Scurvion Alpha, Barbecunis, and Calypso, each teeming with absurd alien oddities to defeat for their meat. Adapt and survive as you complete Prime Directives and face random in-game events, take on the game’s first mini-boss, and ultimately square off against the final boss of the first act – Franken Beans.
Brave weird new worlds solo or summon your co-op crew to face waves of escalating chaos while racing against time to complete objectives and score vital Meat Cores for ongoing Smart Meat™ experimentations. Rip, swap, and mutate mid-combat, swapping body parts on the fly for unique powers and abilities, changing your strategy instantly. Maybe you’ll live long enough to receive your employee evaluation.

Employee levels will be capped at 10 in this demo; however, players will be able to carry their progress over to the purchased game. For fresh recruits, there is a tutorial to learn the basics, while seasoned Meat Scientists can now opt to up the challenge through four escalating difficulty levels. SWAPMEAT features controller support, and the Next Fest demo is a quick install, as the game demo size is 2.56GB. More specifications are available on the game’s Steam page.
To keep up with all the latest changes and updates, players can join the official SWAPMEAT Discord and also follow the game on BlueSky, YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. For more information on One More Game, visit the official company website.
