Developer Mad Mimic and publisher Light Up Games are thrilled to announce The Cursed Trials, an action-packed new DLC for their isometric souls-like metroidvania, Mark of the Deep. Launching on Steam on March 16, 2026, this brutal new boss-rush mode is designed to push seasoned Mark Keepers to their absolute limits.
In celebration of the announcement, Mark of the Deep – Deluxe Edition is currently featured in the top tier of the Humble 15 Time Capsule. The Cursed Trials introduces a highly replayable gauntlet designed to test players’ combat mastery. Players will step into the arena as Rookie, facing off against 16 formidable bosses combined into pre-made sequences of varying lengths and difficulties. Between white-knuckle encounters, players will enter the Progression Room to strategically choose upgrades, adding a compelling layer of roguelite build-crafting to the experience.
For those seeking ultimate glory, players can activate up to six unique “Curses” that dramatically alter the flow of combat, increasing both the risk and the rewards.
