Ambrosia Sky’s First Act Launches on PC Next Month

Act One of the anticipated clean-’em-up immersive sim arrives November 10, with Act Two and Three coming in 2026

Toronto-based developer Soft Rains is thrilled to announce that the first-person sci-fi adventure and immersive sim Ambrosia Sky is releasing its first act next month on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Revealed today at IGN Fan Fest: Fall Edition in an all-new trailer, Ambrosia Sky will follow a three-part episodic release, beginning with Act One on November 10 then followed by Act Two and Three in 2026. In this gripping first act, Ambrosia Sky thrusts you into a mind-bending world of death, decay, and what comes after. Armed with nothing but a chemical sprayer and grappling hook, you must survive varieties of unpredictable alien fungi.

Featuring full voice acting, different mission types across replayable locations, several unique strains of harvestable fungus, and a satisfying crafting and progression loop, the first act of Dalia’s homecoming story will delight players eager to experience a narrative-rich immersive sim.

Ambrosia Sky is also part of Steam Next Fest until October 20, with an updated demo available now on Steam.

Today’s new gameplay overview trailer gives players a sneak peek at Ambrosia Sky’s system-based gameplay and gravity-altering environmental hazards, showcasing satisfying cleaning, hostile alien ecosystems, erratic fungal growth patterns and behaviors, and meaningful crafted upgrades.

In Ambrosia Sky, players assume the role of Dalia, a field scientist belonging to an enigmatic order in pursuit of human immortality. Dispatched to a farming colony on Saturn’s outer rings, a place she once called home, she finds it abandoned and overrun by hostile fungi. Those she knew are now dead, missing, or maybe even complicit. It’s up to Dalia to cleanse the contamination, discover the truth, and lay the dead to rest.

  • Cleanse the Contamination. Ambrosia Sky’s unique gameplay blends FPS action with meditative cleaning. Cleanse alien fungus with your chemical sprayer, harvest its fruit, and upgrade your gear to survive the spreading crisis.
  • Discover an Alien Ecosystem. Each species of alien fungus has unique behaviors and properties – some explode, others electrify, and some will even hunt you down.
  • Research and Update Your Equipment. Craft new ammo types that mimic the abilities of fungus you encounter. Upgrade your sprayer’s efficiency, create new spray types, or enhance your tether to better navigate and explore the unstable gravity fields of the colony.
  • Navigate Zero-G Environments. Traverse treacherous pockets of unstable gravity throughout the Cluster. Use your tether to grab objects, uncover hidden corners of the colony, and explore environments where unpredictable fluctuations in gravity can change direction and strength at any time.
  • Lay the Dead to Rest. Seek out the tragic victims of the crisis and lay them to rest in poignant scenes that unravel the mystery of what happened and why.

Soft Rains is developing Ambrosia Sky with the support of Blackbird Interactive (Hardspace: Shipbreaker), who further bolsters Soft Rains’ veteran team, empowering them to deliver a unique and evocative sci-fi adventure.

Prior to Ambrosia Sky’s November release, you can play an updated demo now, available on Steam, complete with voice acting for Dalia and cinematic death rituals, improved fungi variety, and a new location and mission type. For more information, visit Soft Rains’ official website.
